I was shocked it snow this morning when I woke up. I thought the weather will be nice today just like yesterday. I was planning to take a walk with Rachel but I changed my mind. Instead hubby and I watched a movie and I did some cleaning around the house. Which makes me tired and I took a nap together with Rachel. When I woke hubby was busy cooking for our dinner.
I’ve been so busy today. I did some general cleaning and doing laundry. I was so tired that I forgot to thaw some meat out this afternoon. Luckily I found some leftovers in the freezer which was hamburger. And I made some french fries. I’m so glad that hubby like it.
Hubby and I were so excited because the weather will be nice and warm for this week. He already have a plan and he wants to surprise me. I think I know what he’s planning. But anyway, I just had dessert that hubby made this afternoon, it’s pumpkin pie. I put whip cream on top of it. It was really good and would love to have one more slice. But I’m trying to watch my weight.

We are on a mission, per Rachel’s pediatrician’s orders, to have Rachel stop using her binky and to get her off the baby bottles. Getting her using different bottles should be the easier of the two. She sometimes does good with the new bottles and sometimes she has a hard time. We try to show her how to suck from the straw and she is catching on. Over time, she seems to finally be getting comfortable with the new bottles. As far as getting rid of the binky altogether, I think it would be easier for me to win American Idol. She really only needs it when she is tired and she is getting ready for her afternoon nap or at bedtime at night. Since she is getting attached to her Barney stuffed animal, hopefully that will help us in trying to distract her at bedtime and help her forget about the binky. It will take time, but we have to phase out the binky soon.

A guy gets on a plane and finds himself seated next to a cute Blondie. He immediately turns to her and makes his move. “You know,” he says, “I’ve heard that flights will go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger. So let’s talk.” The Blondie, who had just opened her book, closes it slowly and says to the guy, ”What would you like to discuss?” “Oh, I don’t know,” says the guy. “How about nuclear power?” “OK,” says the Blondie. “That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff–grass. Yet the deer excretes little pellets, the cow turns out a flat patty, and the horse produces muffins of dried poop. Why do you suppose that is?” The guy is dumbfounded. Finally he replies, “I haven’t the slightest idea.” “So, tell me,” says the Blondie, “How is it that you feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don’t know shit?”

The second day of our trip was the day my friends got married in Las Vegas. The ceremony was held at a nice chapel just of the Las Vegas Strip. The people at the chapel were very friendly and well prepared. We took a lot of pictures of anything that looked important or interesting. It was pretty cool that the people that were unable to attend the wedding could watch live via web cam. After the ceremony, we all went out to have a great dinner at the Outback Steakhouse on the strip. We visited and talked about the ceremony. After dinner, the newlyweds went to the strip on their own and the rest of us headed back to our hotels.

For many months, the only kids TV show Rachel would watch for more than a couple of minutes was Tiger & Pooh. But, over the last month or so, she seems to have a new friend. Rachel’s new friend is the famous purple dinosaur…Barney. She loves to watch it so much, so would probably watch it all day if we let her do so. I think she likes it better because she watches other kids play, sing and dance during each show. When they sing and dance, she gets up and claps and dances, it’s so cute to watch her. It’s a better program than other kids TV shows because they talk about things kids need to see and learn about as they get older.
I’ve been very busy today. I did a lot of cleaning and doing the laundry. My hubby was watching Rachel the whole afternoon and I’m so glad about it. Also, my hubby was cooking for our dinner tonight and we had grilled pork chops and it was really good. I don’t need to worry about cooking tomorrow because we have some leftovers tonight.
I invited to a attain a party tonight. But I don’t think I can go because I’m not feeling good. Since I woke up this morning, I feel like I have a flu. My hubby said, I should rest and he will cook for our dinner tonight. I asked him about what his planning to cook. He just said surprise. Well, the weather today is cold and windy. My hubby planning to go shopping with Rachel tonight but he changed his mind.
My hubby baked pumpkin pie tonight and the house smells so good. Besides cheesecake, pumpkin pie is his favorite dessert. Almost every week he baked a pie and I like it. Rachel and I is watching Barney and after this one episode I will put her to bed. Then after that I can eat my pie together with my hubby.
I went shopping this afternoon with Rachel and I bought some nice stuff for us. My hubby was pretty happy about the price and his actually shocked. Rachel and I decided to have dinner at the food court and we both had hamburger with french fries. We shopped about five hours and I’m pretty tired right now. I will probably go to bed early because my legs are sore from walking.
