Apple Featured ‘Alphie the Squid’ as the Best New Game!!!

If you are looking for an Apple app to play with and haven’t found a good one yet?  Well, then why not try Alphie the Squid?  It was featured by Apple as the Best New Game Update in 118 countries and it has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars at the App store. It is loved by both kids and adults giving total entertainment while also being relaxing, too.  The game starts with little Alphie’s mom being chased by a great white shark. Little Alphie begins his journey as he finds his mom. Along the way, he has to eat and every time he does, he becomes bigger and over time, no longer is Alphie the Squid little.

Watch the game trailer so you can see how the game goes. With so many trails to pass through, giving different challenges along the way, the player gets to feel what Alphie is feeling. You need to strategize to survive. You can hypnotize your prey and camouflage yourself as you hide within the colorful seaweeds or spray ink and trap your predators. It is also educational as you can learn about the sea creatures from the gallery and read fun facts about them.  One of the best things about the game is the partnership with Monterey Bay Aquarium. For every game downloaded, $1 goes to the aquarium’s Children Education Fund.

You can download the app for free at Amazon, iTunes and Googleplay for the first four levels and you can get the rest for only $2.99. It has vibrant art, funny animation, beautiful music and the game is immersive. Start with the game website and read more about the Press release, then remember to download the game.  My daughter, who is six years old, is enjoying the app so much it’s the only game she is playing now. It enables her to improve her dexterity, especially during the higher levels. It’s a good bonding moment for her and me when we play at the same time and challenge each other to get to higher levels.  Please visit and like them on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to learn more about the game.
