Family visit to @elitchgardens amusement park

Our daughter was so excited to visit Elitch Gardens because she is nine years old and is tall enough to enjoy some bigger rides. She really likes roller coasters and kept asking who will go with her on the rides. After we arrived, she found a roller coaster she wanted to ride called the Mind Eraser. It looked really fast and so I volunteered my hubby to go with her. After the ride, they looked really excited and my hubby said his legs were a little wobbly because the ride was so exhilarating. Later, I enjoyed some rides with her and we all had a blast! This is such a great amusement park for families and people of all ages.

The #Skydeck Experience in #Chicago is Breathtaking!

Our family visited Chicago for the first time over the Memorial Holiday weekend last week.  We had several different places we wanted to visit and see during our short stay in the windy city.  Of course, on our list was visiting The Skydeck Experience on top of the world-famous Willis Tower, formerly known as the Sears Tower. My hubby is fascinated with skyscrapers and was so excited to be on top of the building that was the tallest building in the world for almost twenty-five years.  We decided to go after dinner so we could see downtown Chicago and the surrounding area at nighttime.

Once we arrived at the top and entered the Skydeck, it was just amazing and breathtaking when we saw the incredible views from over 1400 feet for the first time.  Our daughter really enjoyed the Skydeck Chicago because you can see the whole city and so many different buildings, along with Lake Michigan and a gorgeous sunset while we were there.

This was the highlight of our summer trip to Chicago, so we would highly recommend anyone visiting or living near Chicago to visit the Skydeck Experience on top of the Willis Tower.  You can visit their website, TheSkydeck.com, for more details.

The #SantaExpressTrain to the ‘North Pole’ is Incredibly Fun and Memorable!

Our family really looks forward to riding the Santa Express Train each year at the beginning of the holiday season. This year for the first time, our daughter brought a friend of her along with us. After we arrived, we found our gate and boarded the train. Shortly after arriving, we ordered our drinks and dinner for all of us. Then, they brought us the best hot chocolate and cookies that tasted homemade. The staff played games with the kids as we rode towards The North Pole to meet with Santa and his elves. The kids were all ages and had so much fun playing together and singing holiday songs. We really enjoyed the dinner that was served before the highlight of the trip.

We could feel the excitement in the air as we turned the corner and saw the sign welcoming us to The North Pole. Then, to see the town with Santa and his elves waving back to all of us on the train was an incredible moment, especially for the all the kids. After the train stopped, Santa boarded with his elves to visit with each of the kids. Santa gave our daughter and her friend a special reindeer bell and sat down to talk with them for a couple of minutes. The pictures we took while they visited were so amazing. The elves had great stories about living with Santa at The North Pole they shared with the kids as Santa was visiting with others.

Our daughter and her friend had so much fun they couldn’t stop talking about the trip as we drove home. The Santa Express Train ride is such a memorable holiday experience for families and anyone else who loves the holiday season.
