It’s Mother’s Day in a few days! What are you getting your mother to show how you appreciate her? How about you, are you a mother? What do you wish you can have? Most mothers will give up everything for her family. She takes care of the responsibilities in the house and gives her children or husband what they want or need.

This is the perfect time to get her something special! It’s got to be suited for her and that is why special items are worth any mother’s attention, just like the items sold at Strolby’s. Check out the Mother’s Day Gift Ideas!

Strolby’s puts many small shops of the world in one place. Their mission is to help them thrive while making an avenue for the unique creations to be enjoyed by anyone from anywhere. These items are often limited because many of them are made with so much care. Most of the items carry a story. Most are handmade. For now, stores from Brooklyn and Hudson Valley made it to the list. There are lots of different items to choose from, but you have to decide fast because there are only a few of each kind. Designers and artisans are encouraged to be what they love to be. As such, the mind of designers and artisans always evolve, almost always creating something new, thus, the limitation of those items previously made. Hence, you buy the creativity of the designer and you can be sure that there are only a handful of you owning a similar item, if not the only one.

It is important for Strolby’s to support small shops because these are those who support local people that make up the neighborhood. Jobs are created, local culture is fostered and the community is improved.

Check the Strolby Homepage and look around. I have some favorites. First, the T2 Sunglasses look awesome because not only can they provide 100% UV protection, they are handmade from organic materials like bamboo and rosewood. I never thought handmade sunglasses existed! Second, I like the botanically hand-dyed silk scarf which is made with only fruits, roots and herbs to produce the muted tones of dusty rose and indigo. Surely, no pattern design is the same. Third, the Oahu Gardenia Roll-on Perfume Oil special ingredient, Gardenia Manii, is native of Oahu and cannot be found elsewhere in the world. They are packaged only by hand and all ingredients are organic. Fourth, the Elemental Cuff, made with brass or white bronze, is handcrafted that projects originality. Fifth, the Sun Studs in Vermeil is also handcrafted so that the pair does not look exactly alike, in 14K gold plate, perfect for everyday wear.
