I Never Miss a UK Game
I appreciate the guest post, Rodrigo Coffey
I have followed the UK basketball team for years. Every winter, no matter what was happening, I never missed the game. When my Dad got sick and I had to stay with him, there was a slight problem. He had no cable television at all. I was so disappointed at the fact that I was going to miss all the action. I missed half of the sweet sixteen tournament and even two of the final four games.
Once my Dad was back on his feet I headed back home. The drive home was depressing. I had missed out on a major part of my lifelong routine. When I arrived home my wife was anxiously waiting for me at the door. It was so good to be home. She had a surprise waiting for me. She had went out and bought a DVR for our satellite television from http://www.directstartv.com/localchannels/. She had recorded every single game that I had missed. This was possibly the most thoughtful thing that anyone had ever done for me. I watched games nonstop for four days. I did not miss a single play. When the NCAA championship came on a few days later, I was completely up to speed with everything that I thought I had missed. The best part was that UK one the championship. I am one lucky man.
