Ideal Toys for 2 Year Old Boys

After keeping their parents awake most nights during their previous months, most two-year old kids are making their parents run after them, especially boys. They have come to learn how to walk and are eager to explore, which is normal. The opportunities for development parents give their kids, however, should be well thought of, making sure that safety is on top of their list. The following ideas for toys for 2 year old boys are also meant to prepare them for their next developmental stage.

Educational toys that teach colors, shapes, numbers and the alphabet can be in the form of wood, plastic, cloth or even electronic. Giant puzzles like jigsaws can help them think and imagine. Identifying the colors and shapes (including numbers and the alphabet) with them also allows them to develop their listening and talking skills. Building blocks of different shapes help them pick up and put down items on different surfaces. In a room with blocks that are out of reach encourages them to stand up and walk to get the wanted piece.

Toys that develop their creativity. Traditionally, these are crayons for little ones. Today, there are electronic toys that do the same thing without the unnecessary biting/eating factor or constant cleaning up afterwards.

Toys that will help develop their balance. Ride-on toys like mini trikes are good to help them ride, balance and move from one place to another with the help of their feet pedaling them around. Getting off after the ride without falling is another trick they have to develop.

Any toy that you give your your young child, however, must be made sure to be safe from harmful chemicals. Avoid small and breakable items that can be swallowed. A two-year old must have an adult companion at all times. These toys are not meant to nanny them while you do something else far from reach.
