My Ultimate Switch To Serving Gluten Free Goodies #gfwalmart

“This is a sponsored post by Udi’s. All opinions stated are my own.”

Since I’m literally in charge in our kitchen, part of my job is to serve my loving family the healthiest food I can find in the supermarket. It’s actually a struggle sometimes, especially finding healthy goodies these days tends to be more expensive than what we usually buy. Sad to say, the latter have all these tempting flavors, colorful packaging at a cheaper price, so many of us settle for them out of convenience or simply to be practical. However, as wise moms, we should know better. Keeping your meals healthy is worth every penny and to my surprise, I was able to discover these Udi’s Gluten Free Products right inside the nearest Walmart where we always shop. Just in time since I’ve been planning for this week’s back-to-school lunchbox for my daughter.

One of my dilemmas is to find the time for me to prepare healthy lunches for our daughter that tastes good because she will compare them to those chips and junk foods that her classmates are having. This time, I’m able to give her the Udi’s Cinnamon Raisin Bread partnered with Udi’s Blueberry Muffins. This is the proof that gluten free foods don’t have to taste bland because she really loves them. They are kept inside a freezer in Walmart and not inside the usual bread shelf to keep their taste fresh. Now our daughter always goes home with her lunchbox squeaky clean and she’s very happy when it’s . In fact, her classmates even asked their parents to prepare the same for their lunch.

No mother and wife can afford to just let their family eat those foods that could harm their body over time.  At first, I thought it would be difficult to switch, but everything went smoothly for me and my family.

It’s okay to take time to choose the best food for your family since you’re deciding how healthy they will be in the future. Don’t hesitate to read the labels and take note of its contents. Be a keen mom to make sure you’re serving your family the right foods. Also, it is important to be creative and resourceful so that they won’t get bored of your cooking. Add up some colors and learn some basic plating techniques. I actually managed to switch their favorite BLT sandwich into gluten-free out of the Udi’s Gluten-Free White Sandwich Bread that I also got at Walmart the other day. Now that’s quite an achievement for me, so here’s my quick and easy recipe for my BLT Sandwich that my hubby and daughter really enjoyed.

2 slices Udi’s bread, toasted

1 teaspoon salted butter

2  lettuce leaves

1 tomato, sliced 1/4 inch thick

2 slices bacon, cooked

1/2 cup  Mayonnaise

salt and pepper (optional)

mustard (optional)

Spread one piece of toasted bread with mustard and mayonnaise. On top of the mayonnaise add lettuce, tomato, seasoned with salt and pepper and top with bacon.  Spread remaining slice of toast with mayonnaise, then slice diagonally and serve.
