Crested Butte is one of the most fun and exciting winter sites you can find, if not the best. I found it to be a really great place for a family adventure! We received complimentary lift tickets so that made it doubly exciting for us! (There are current deals that you can avail of giving free or discounted lift tickets and a free stay for certain date duration in March and April, so you might want to check that out now.)
Skiing is for people of all ages and the Crested Butte Ski Resort has great ski runs for everybody. There are six different difficulty trails (easy, intermediate, advance intermediate, expert, extreme terrain and the terrain park) and there are over a dozen starting points to choose from so you can go to which one suits you as a skier. My hubby loved their short lift lines compared to other crowded resorts, even on the weekend the lines were very short.
The whole family can have family ski fun together or apart (depending on the trail each takes), but everyone can have fun all at the same time. (Looks like the Paradise Express has the most varied trail difficulty from easy to the terrain park.) There are other activities you can do during the winter like taking the Zip line or the Snowshoe Tour, Winter Trail Rides, tubing, wall climbing and jumping the bungee trampoline at the Adventure Park. Experience driving a snow cat, snowboarding, snow biking, cross country, and cross-country skiing. If you have kids 4-12, bring them to Camp CB for the Kid’s Night Out. There’s also a museum you can visit or you can enjoy a unique mountain Sleigh Ride Dinner at Uley’s Cabin. Make the most out of your next family adventure and plan your next trip to the mountains in Crested Butte!
